Eight-year-old fan and aspiring female cricketer from Lahore, Samiya Afsar, met her idol Babar Azam via teleconference to learn some batting tips.
Samiya, a left-handed batter, aims to represent Pakistan at the international level. The young talented girl shared her dreams with Babar, also from Lahore, in a video chat.
“I saw your videos and I found you so passionate about the game,” Babar told Samiya. “Your cover drives our more good than mine,” Babar added with a smile on his face.
“I am your biggest fan and I follow you and try to learn from your batting videos,” Samiya talked to her idol. The young fan also asked Babar about playing a pull shot. “Try to open your arms while playing a pull shot,” Babar guided.
Meanwhile, Samiya also presented Babar’s sketch which showed her sketching skills too apart from cricket.
